Most people who visit Chick-Fil-A usually tend to get the regular Chicken Nuggets, but let me tell you, if you ever try the Grilled Nuggets then you will forever be mesmerized by how flavorful and delicious these nuggets are.
Which is why I decided for todays review to actually go review Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets.
It’s actually one of my favorite items and one that I get almost every other day. And I want to share with you all just how good these Grilled Nuggets actually are.
So with that being said, lets go to Chick-Fil-A and buy some Grilled Nuggets to review!
What Are Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets
If you ever been to a Chick-Fil-A before, then you’ll know that they serve a variety of different chicken items. All of which tastes absolutely delicious. And even though most people come here for the fried chicken items, they actually have grilled items too.
One of the most popular is actually the Grilled Nuggets.
Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets are bite-sized pieces of freshly marinated boneless breast of chicken, grilled for a tender and juicy backyard-smoky taste.
Because of this, it’s actually also one of their most healthiest items that they have on the menu.
For instance, if you were to get a 12-Piece Grilled Nugget item, then the macros is around 200 Calories, 4.5g of fat, 2g of carbs and 38g of protein. Which is actually really good considering its from a fast food joint.
It’s no wonder people from all over love these nuggets.
Buying Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets
Buying the Chick-Fil-A Grilled Nuggets were actually quite easy.
From my house, it took me a few minutes to drive to the nearest Chick-Fil-A, and as usual, I’m always surprised by how popular this place is. Like I know it’s one of the most popular fast food restaurants around, but the amount of people here is always insane.
The entire parking lot was full and I could see quite a line inside the restaurant of people lining up. Because of this, I decided to opt for the drive-thru lane.
And that area is also pretty packed as well.
Anyways, I got in line and fortunately for me, the line always moves pretty fast. In fact, it took me around 6 minutes of waiting before I got to the person taking the orders.
I looked at the menu and say that they serve a few different options of Grilled Nuggets. For instance, they serve a 5-Piece, 8-Piece, 12-Piece, and also a 30-Piece Grilled Nuggets.
I decided to get the 12-Piece Combo with a medium fry and a large drink.
Price wise, it came out to around $12.49 before tax, which to me actually seemed like a decent price. Especially being as how these are Grilled Nuggets and I also got a Combo, it’s a fair price to pay for this amount of food.
After paying, I waited another 2 to 3 minutes before they handed me my bag and it was off to the races.
Lets do the review!
What Does Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets Look Like
Taking the items out of the bag, you actually realize that this is quite a decent portion size.
You got the Grilled Nuggets being put in a cup with a lid on top and the fries perfectly put in the box.
You could actually see some steam going in the nugget box which probably meant that they were super fresh and just came off the grill.
Anyways, opening the lid you could see the beautiful Grilled Nuggets.
They actually had a slight smoky scent coming from them, and if you inspect it closely, you could even see a glistening shine covering the nuggets.
Each one of the nuggets had some grilled marks all over and they were decently big in size. I would say, each nugget is probably the size of two thumbs put together, which is not bad.
I also got a side of buffalo sauce to pair with it, because just eating Grilled Nuggets, even though they do taste pretty good, you obviously want more flavor as well.
So with that being said, lets go try out Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets!
What Does Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets Taste Like
Using a fork, I grabbed a piece of Grilled Nugget and rose it up to the light.
When I say this thing literally sparkled like a diamond from the juices flowing around it is an understatement. I could tell this was going to be a good time.
I then took a big bite out of the nugget and let me tell you, this was a flavor explosion.
Now, one thing I need to make clear is that Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets are completely different from their regular nuggets. The Grilled Nuggets themselves are not fried at all with any breading whatsoever.
The Grilled Nuggets also are really soft and tender while giving off a nice smoky sensation with each bite. And because of the marinade, there is also a slight bit of sweetness coming from it as well which is ever so nice.
But not only that, we also got some buffalo sauce to dip it in as well for additional flavor.
Peeling back the sauce lid, I dipped the Grilled Nugget into the buffalo sauce and took a bite.
This is literally perfection in my opinion.
If you like a bit of spice with your nuggets, then these will totally do the job.
After all, the Grilled Nuggets themselves are already really good, but once you pair it up with the buffalo sauce, it’ll add so much more flavor to it. A bit of a tang that is nice and creamy, and you also got a good amount of spice that kicks your mouth with heat.
If you never tried Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets with buffalo sauce before, then you are missing out. This is the combination that you will definitely fall in love with.
How Can Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets Be Improved
Now as good as the Grilled Nuggets are from Chick-Fil-A, I do notice that some of the nuggets are not consistent.
By this, I mean like there are a few nuggets in the cup that were somewhat dry and tough.
Now I know cooking a big pile of nuggets on the grill can be a bit hard to do as sometimes not all nuggets will get cooked evenly. But because Chick-Fil-A is such a massive brand with so much money, they could probably invest in some machine or something to make sure that everything gets cooked the right way.
I mean, who wants to find a tough and dry nugget in their meal? Not me for sure.
Although I will say, majority of the nuggets are pretty well cooked, it was just a slight few that wasn’t.
So if Chick-Fil-A manages to fix this little tidbit, then it will be a perfection.
Overall Thoughts
With that being said, Chick-Fil-A’s Grilled Nuggets are some of the best items to have in fast food. Especially if you are wanting to eat healthy, then these items are a no brainer. Having amazing macros and such good flavors, if you ever wanted some healthy fast food to eat, then this is the item to have.
So next time if you are visiting a Chick-Fil-A, definitely be sure to grab some Grilled Nuggets as you will instantly fall in love with them.
