On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is celebrating the 2023 Summer Season with the debut of a new Summer menu featuring many new items like the Texas Grilled Burrito, Mexican Slaw, Margarita Cheesecake and so much more.
The new items were part of the chains third annual Culinary and Mixology Competition for all On The Border team members as a way to engage with each other and be creative. The winning dishes, was then picked out and put onto the New 2023 Summer Menu.
Here’s a description of the new items:
- Texas Grilled Burrito: Created by Saul Alonso from West Indy, In, the item features a Texas-size burrito filled with beef brisket, fries, mixed cheese, our Signature Queso, jalapeño-BBQ sauce, pickled jalapeños and pickled red onions. Served with Mexican rice, refried beans and fresh avocado salsa for dipping.
- Mexican Slaw: features made in-house with sliced cabbage, toasted corn, diced red onions, pickled jalapeños and tossed in a sweet & tangy dressing.
- Margarita Cheesecake: features delicious and refreshing, classic lime margarita-flavored cheesecake on a graham cracker crust.
- Blue Island Cooler: Created by Kayla Takens from OTB-Holland, Mi, the item features Bacardí Tropical Rum, blue curaçao, Coco Reàl, pineapple juice and fresh citrus sour topped with Starry lemon-lime soda.
- Marky Marg: features ultra-premium margarita featuring Mark Wahlberg’s Flecha Azul Blanco Tequila, triple sec, fresh lime agave and fresh lime juice.
- Toporita: features grande frozen house margarita topped with a Strawberry Guava Topo Chico® Hard Seltzer.
The new Summer 2023 menu items can be found at all participating On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina locations nationwide for a limited time only.
