Earlier this month, McDonalds has just released a new version of their popular Quarter Pounder With Cheese.
This time, they added Jalapeño’s and Cheese Sauce to it!
So if you love the original Quarter Pounder With Cheese, then you’ll have to try out this New Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder With Cheese.
It’s everything you love about the QPC, but with a cheesier sensation and a little spice.
From my knowledge, this is a limited time item and will only be here for a short while. So make sure to get yours while you can before it is gone.
Buying The Food:
Customers who want to buy the New McDonalds Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese, will be happy to know that they can get this burger in either a single patty or a double patty form.
For the single patty version, in Texas the price is around $6.99.
And for the double patty version, i’m assuming it’s like $1 or $2 dollars more than the single, so kind of expensive if you were to ask me.
Now for this review, we are going to be reviewing the single patty version.
What Does It Look Like:
As you can see, the New McDonalds Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder With Cheese comes in what looks like a Big Mac Box and is kind of oily.
Burger itself does look good and it definitely smelled good too.
Although on first impression, doesn’t really feel like theres a lot of cheese sauce going on. Compared to the picture online, there was so much more cheese, but this one just looks ordinary.
This is what it looked like when I opened the burger to look on the inside.
As you can see, there are quite a few Jalapeños laying around the burger. Although not really surrounding the entire area, its mostly concentrated in the middle part of the burger.
And just like the Jalapeños, the Bacon itself is not really spread apart. Literally its all stacked on top of each other in one line. Personally for me, this doesn’t look great as I would expect them to place the Bacon spread apart so you get a better experience with each bite.
But the thing that got me most confused was the Cheese Sauce.
If you look at the picture, the Cheese sauce is literally just one squirt in the middle of the top bun. They didn’t even spread it out or anything. It’s just a small little dab of Cheese Sauce.
Like, for a burger to be called the Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder With Cheese, you would expect to have way more Cheese Sauce covering the majority of the burger. But this just seemed very lazy to me in my opinon.
What Did It Taste Like:
As for the flavor of the burger, I had to say McDonalds knew what they were doing.
McDonalds Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder With Cheese, is simply delicious. Although it wasn’t a super cheesy experience, just the addition of the Jalapeños and Bacon made it so flavorful.
We all know McDonalds Quarter Pounder With Cheese is already really good, but once you add the Bacon, the Jalapeños, and the Cheese Sauce, my oh my, this really took it to the next level.
Bun itself was super soft and pillowy, but the star of the show was all of the ingredients inside.
The beef patty itself, which I believe has never been frozen, is thick, juicy, and full of beefy essence. One bite, and you can tell that beef was made with love and care. Bacon also was done nicely as it is cooked right, super crispy and crunchy with a good porky flavor that tasted great.
The two American Cheese slices were also really well prepared as it was melted evenly giving each bite a gooey and cheesy feel that was a bit creamy too.
But what I loved was the Jalapeños, which gave each bite a nice fiery kick that wasn’t too overpowering, but just enough where you get a buzz on your tongue. Personally for me, I like my burger to be a lot more spicier, but being as how this is from McDonalds, it’s actually pretty good.
As for the Cheese Sauce though, that kind of fell short.
Like we saw earlier, the Cheese Sauce is only a little dab in the middle. Because of this, when you’re eating the burger, you don’t really get the full experience.
Many times, when you’re eating burger, you don’t get the Cheese Sauce at all. This takes away from the experience a lot.
But when you actually DO get the Cheese Sauce, it’s really good. It kind of feels like a Nacho Cheese type of sauce where it’s thick and gooey and sticks all over. Perfect to pair with this burger.
How Can It Be Improved:
Flavor wise, the McDonalds New Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder With Cheese is really delicious.
However, it definitely can be made better.
As you saw from the earlier pictures, when they constructed the burger it was kind of lazy or sloppy. Like, if they spread apart the ingredients it would be so much better. Actually having the Bacon spread apart so it’s not clumped up in the middle so each bite you can get the Bacon and everything else. Likewise with the Jalapenos.
But the biggest part I think that can be improved upon is the Cheese Sauce.
This is called the Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder With Cheese, so I’m expecting a strong cheesy sensation. Because of which, I hope McDonalds can put a lot more of the Cheese Sauce onto the burger instead of just one small dab.
I want this to be cheesy, I want the cheese to be overflowing from the burger giving that amazing feeling of Cheese Sensation.
If they can improve on these areas, this burger will be so much better.
Thoughts On This Burger:
Overall, McDonalds New Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon Quarter Pounder With Cheese is a great idea that absolutely delivers in flavor. Although it mostly depends on the workers whether they built it right or now, but flavor is great.
I think this burger is only going to be around for a short while as its limited time only, so if you are wanting to try this, definitely do give it a try.
If you love the original QPC burger from McDonalds, then this New Cheesy Jalapeño Bacon QPC version will definitely surprise you.
