Chipotle Mexican Grill has just announced that they are debuting a brand new Red Chimichurri Sauce to the menu this week for everyone to try. It will be available starting on Tuesday, September 30th for a limited time only.
According to the brand, the new chef-driven sauce complements any Chipotle entree.
It is made in-restaurant each day and is a new take on the classic and premium chimichurri that delivers tangy and bright flavor notes. It is accompanied by chili peppers and fresh hand-cut cilantro.
Nevielle Panthaky, Vice President of Culinary recommends three curated entrée pairings to enjoy with Red Chimichurri:
- Carne Asada Burrito
- White rice, black beans, Carne Asada, fresh tomato salsa, guac, cheese, romaine lettuce and Red Chimichurri
- Chicken Bowl
- White rice, black beans, chicken, roasted chili-corn salsa, guac, cheese and Red Chimichurri
- Sofritas Bowl
- Brown rice, pinto beans, Sofritas, fajita veggies, roasted chili-corn salsa, fresh tomato salsa, guac, romaine lettuce and Red Chimichurri
Additionally, Chipotle Rewards Members can try the Red Chimichurri Sauce for free on Tuesday, September 30th. Basically the way it works is that any guests enrolled in Chipotle Rewards by 5 p.m. PT on Monday, September 29th will get a free Red Chimichurri offer in their account the next day.
So if you’re a fan of Chipotle or just want to try out the new Red Chimichurri Sauce, then do go fast before it sells out!
What Else To Try At Chipotle
If you didn’t know, Chipotle earlier this month has brough back their popular Carne Asada.
It is the brand’s most-searched menu item and the second-most searched limited time offering among all national restaurant brands in 2024.
Chipotle’s Carne Asada is marinated, then seasoned on the grill with a signature spice blend including cumin, coriander, garlic and oregano. It is then sliced into a perfect tender, juicy bite. Lastly, they squeeze some fresh lime juice and add hand-chopped cilantro for a deeply rich, satisfying flavor.
Note: The brand even says the new Red Chimichurri Sauce pairs especially well with the Carne Asada. It will make for a totally new way to enjoy this limited time offering.
Culver’s CurderBurger Makes A Return
In other news, Culver’s is bringing back a beloved item being the CurderBurger back to its menu. This item which was originally created as an April Fools Joke has since become a sensation to Culvers fans everywhere.
And it is returning for its 5th season to the menu for everyone to enjoy.
The CurderBurger features a Deluxe ButterBurger topped with a crown of golden-fried cheese made of a blend of yellow and white cheddar, breaded and fried to perfection.
It will run from September 29 through October 14 or while supplies last.
Additionally, Culver’s has also created the brand new Jalapeño Cheese Curds. They are made with bits of Jalapeño and real cheddar cheese. It’s then fried to gooey, golden perfection. This brings the right amount of heat to balance their crunchy outside and melty center.
Both of these new items are here for a limited time only. So if you are wanting to try, do go fast or they will be gone.
K-Pop Meets Jollibee
Mega Chicken Giant Jollibee has recently just teamed up with KATSEYE (K-Pop Group), to debut a brand new flavor. Called the Spicy Korean BBQ Chicken, it is a new take on Jollibee’s iconic chicken.
And currently, they are creating two new ways to try out this flavor.
- KATSEYE Special Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich: Features a toasted brioche bun and topped with fresh cucumber slices, thinly sliced red onion and cilantro, and has the brands signature chicken covered in a soy glaze and gochujang sauce.
- Korean BBQ Chicken: For those wanting the bone-in versions, the KATSEYE Special Korean BBQ Fried Chicken also offers the same signature crispy and juicy fried chicken that the brand is known for covered in the delicious Korean BBQ Sauce.
As most people know, Jollibee is world famous for their delicious fried chicken. They already bring in huge lines of people just buying their chicken each and every day. And now mix in KATSEYE who have been making waves around the music industry right now. It’s to be expected this collab will be HUGE.
So if you are a fan of Jollibee or KATSEYE and want to try out this new flavor, do go fast. Because from what we hear, many locations are seeing long lines and are selling out fast.
Food Senpai Thoughts
Chimichurri is one of the best sauces you can ever try. It’s tangy, it’s herby, and also has a bit of spice. And it pairs well with quite a lot of different foods.
The only thing we here at Food Senpai are wondering is just how they are going to make it. Because after trying some of their other stuff they released like the queso, it was a let down. But we still have high hopes for this.
Hopefully this new sauce actually tastes amazing and will help elevate any of their food items as well. Regardless of which, we will still be wanting to try this new sauce. And we will be heading to our local Chipotle as soon as we can to try it out.
So with that being said, we are excited about this new item, but we do tread with caution.
